Tuna Nicoise Sandwich

On a hot summer day, there’s not much to eat that’s more refreshing than Nicoise Salad! Now you can enjoy that great taste on an easy-on-the-go sandwich! Made with just a handful of ingredients, it’s got complex taste and a not-so-complex recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 Red Onion (Thinly Sliced)
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 LB Fresh Ahi Tuna
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 1 French Baguette (Grilled)
  • 1 Cup Mixed Field Greens
  • 1 Tomato (Sliced)
  • 4 Hardboiled Eggs (Sliced)
  • 20-30 Nicoise Olives

Directions:

  1. Sear or grill the tuna about 2-3 minutes on high heat until rare.
  2. Cut baguette in ½ length-wise.
  3. Start building your sandwich with greens, sliced tuna, red onion, olives, tomato, and eggs.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil, red wine vinegar, and lemon juice.
  5. Season with a dash of salt + pepper to taste
