Ginger Garnishes

Fresh cut ginger adds dimension and cleanses the palate in cocktails like Ginger’s Last Stand. When shopping, choose smaller roots for smaller garnishes. For perfectly even slices done quickly, use a mandolin instead of a knife.

  • You’ll Need:
  • Knife
  • Piece of ginger root
  • Step 1

    Slice the ginger lengthwise.

  • Step 2

Cut a slice from the inside of one of the ginger slices so that both sides display flesh and the skin creates a pretty outline along the edges.

  • Step 3

Make an incision in the ginger slice.

  • Step 4

Place on your drink (shown here: our on-the-rocks Ginger’s Last Stand).
