Cranberry Walnut Pastry Pinwheels

It’s easy to make an outstanding holiday treat with just a few baking essentials and our Cranberry Walnut Pastry Pinwheels recipe! They’re a sweet-and-savory snack that’s great all season long, whether you’re snuggling up by the fire solo or gathering around the dinner table for a friendsgiving feast!


  • 1 Cup Dried cranberries
  • 1 Cup Lemon zest
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cup Chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 Cup Agave
  • 2 Sheets puff pastry dough
  • 2 Tbsp Melted butter
  • 1 Tbsp Water


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Put cranberries, walnuts, agave and lemon zest in a mixing bowl and mix until combined.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry until 1/8” in thickness
  5. Brush the puff pastry generously with melted butter.
  6. Spread the cranberry filling on top of the puff pastry
  7. Roll each puff pastry into a log, pinching the edges to seal them.
  8. Combine the egg and water in a small bowl and beat with a fork until well blended
  9. Brush each log with the egg mixture
  10. Cut each log into 10 slices
  11. Place the slices 1 inch apart, cut side up, on the baking sheet
  12. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown
  13. Remove pinwheels from oven and place on a cooling rack
  14. Drizzle with agave. Let cool and serve.
