Mini Chicken & Waffles

Anything is better bite-sized—especially chicken and waffles! With mini waffles, hand battered fried chicken, and homemade walnut maple butter, our recipe is sure to be a hit—brunch or not!



  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups all purpose Flour
  • 1¾ cup Milk
  • ½ cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 4 tsp Baking powder
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Vanilla
  • Fried Chicken

  • 1½ cups Buttermilk
  • ¼ cup Hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 2 lbs boneless Chicken thigh cut into cubes
  • 2 cups all purpose Flour
  • 4 cups Vegetable oil for frying
  • Walnut Maple Butter

  • ½ cup chopped Walnuts
  • 2 sticks Butter soft
  • ¼ Maple syrup



  1. Preheat waffle iron.
  2. Beat the eggs in a large bowl.
  3. Then whisk, in remaining ingredients until smooth.
  4. Cook waffles as instructed on waffle iron.
  5. Fried Chicken

  6. In a resealable bag place chicken, buttermilk, hot sauce, sugar, salt and paprika and garlic.
  7. Allow the chicken to marinate at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Place flour in a medium mixing bowl.
  9. Drain the marinade from the chicken, then place chicken pieces the flour, toss to coat.
  10. Heat the oil to 350 degrees over high heat in a medium frying pan.
  11. Brown the chicken in the oil for 5-6 minutes until cooked through and place on a wire rack to cool.
  12. Place chicken on waffle and top with walnut maple butter.
  13. Walnut Maple Butter

  14. Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
